Today we’re releasing a great new option for taking online payments — Stripe.

Stripe is a bit like Paypal in that it doesn’t require you to go through the brain surgery that is signing up for a credit card merchant account with your bank!

Stripe also has better rates than Paypal in some cases, and the integrated checkout form means that unlike Paypal you’re not redirected to another website (hosted payment page) and back again — this means a totally seamless experience for your customers.

How does Intellibook use stripe to take online payment for an event or tour?

  1. The user registers for the event or tour using the Intellibook event registration site, or our registration form which can be integrated in your existing website.
  2. Intellibook calculates the total price (or at least a deposit) for the booking and displays this along with a ‘Pay now’ button.
  3. The user clicks the payment button and a small form is displayed requesting their credit card details and verification number if relevant.
  4. The form also presents “remember me” to make future payments easier.
  5. Payment is processed and deposited into your Stripe account immediately.
  6. Stripe will then transfer any funds received in your bank account on whatever basis you configure — daily, weekly (on a custom day of the week), or monthly (on a custom day of the month).
